Many of costumers always ask me to tell them about stories I encounter in my job as a cab driver. For example I was taking a Canadian tourist to Newark airport in New Jersey; a nice young man. During our conversation he asked me to share some of the stories we cab drivers encounter with our job. During the journey, I shared some of the stories with him. When we got to the airport, he told me he really enjoyed my stories and if he had time, he would listen to some more. I asked him for his email address so I could send him some online. Two days later, he wrote back to me and asked me if I have ever considered putting these stories into a book. Who would want to read these stories? I asked myself. But what really motivated me to write this book is my encounter with a lady I picked up on a Saturday morning on York Avenues in Manhattan. She got into the car, and noticed a can of beer under a seat. She picked it up and let me know about it. "People are not nice; this is probably a drunken passenger who left this here." She said. "Certainly, but this is nothing compare to other things that happen all the time." I told her. "I can imagine; have you ever thought about putting all these stories into writing? It can become a best seller." I laughed and tried to change the subject but she insisted. "I am serious, I am a business woman and I know how it is worth trying. Trust me you have nothing to lose." She added. Her voice was so sincere and convincing that I gave it a try. I started writing. Every day, I come home, I tried to put a story in writing and that is how I put this book together. This book is about some of the stories cab drivers encounter every day, some funny, some emotional and even some strange. These are just stories that tell about behavior we are all familiar with, but never thought would happen in a Taxi cab. Names used in these stories are fictional.
