This United States Army field publication, Technical Manual TM 4-15.21 Maritime Standards and Safety May 2023, contains guidance, instructions, technical data, drawings, illustrations, procedures, and descriptions pertinent to the configuration, modification, application, inspection, fabrication, maintenance and repair, and use of safety and emergency equipment. The Maritime Standards and Safety Office (MSSO), Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA, will formulate, produce, and distribute applicable changes to the equipment and to respective chapters of this manual.
This manual is intended to be used as a companion guide in conjunction with the applicable platform-specific Watercraft Safety Survey Checklist. This will assist Army watercraft crews in preparing for Maritime inspections, surveys, and vessel readiness.
