The Adjustment tells the continuing story of the main characters, Jeff Nichols and Emma Blake that appeared in my first book, The Adjuster.Jeff Nichols is a forty-something guy from a medium sized city in the Midwest. In the Adjuster, he becomes a suspect for a murder he didn't commit. His experiences during his on the run from the law until he's able to learn who actually committed the murder included threats on his life, plus the loss of his wife, his job and an old friend, but he finds a new friend, Emma Blake who becomes an important part of his life.The Adjustment tells the story of how Jeff works to recover from having his whole life turned upside down. This new life evolves into a new series of personal and professional adventures with numerous twists and turns providing a provocative and compelling read.
