They face each other across the expanse of moorland that covers the west of Cornwall; a reluctant king on one side, a misled lord on the other. Both desperate to secure the support of a third faction, The Foresters, they are forced into using their oldest and most powerful weapon: the elements themselves. But their gifts have become stale and unwieldy in their hands, and what once came easily, and naturally, is now a hard lesson to learn and an impossible force to control. As the elementals wreak havoc, and bring darkness and death thundering down upon each other, a frantic mother armed only with the truth will stop at nothing to find her child and bring him home.
