It's 1981 and the South African Defence Force is fighting a secret war against the forces of Black Liberation. Over-promoted Police Sergeant Joshua Smith is called in to investigate the possible use of poison gas after an international media outcry. Joined by Captain Trudi Mostert, he must first work out just who and what is being investigated here. And after that, the questions come thick and fast.
