The Captain's Romance
is a collection of thirty short stories. Most of the stories are based on life in the backwoods and mountains of Kentucky and Tennessee, and provide a very realistic look at what it was like to in rural sections of the southeast during the late 19th century. Romance is a common theme, but "man wins woman" doesn't necessarily work out in every case, and the twists and turns will keep you turning the pages.
