The Cocalico Valley of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, was a rural area in the 18th century. Yet it was home to twenty clockmakers from 1750-1850. These craftsmen were known to make high-quality tall case clocks. From the Gorgas family of the mid-1700's to the Fraser family 100 years later, many of their clocks continue to survive and are highly sought.
