The Colonial Chronicles is an epic multi-series set of American historical novels offering a panorama of characters and events of the Colonial Period chronicling the establishment of the Thirteen Original Colonies. Across a century and a half, the series opens with the loss of the Roanoke Colony in 1590, and concludes shortly after the establishment of the Georgia Colony in 1732. Diverse characters drive the triumphs and tragedies of the historical narrative by folding into, blending with, and actively participating in the decisions and actions leading to each colony's beginning, as well as larger world events, including global travel and meeting historically iconic people, finding that no history occurs in a vacuum because all societies are dynamic. Part One begins in 1590 when the unexplainable loss of Roanoke Colony must be presented to Queen Elizabeth I upon the drive for English colonization in the New World, and extends to 1617, following the death of Pocahontas and the successful tobacco trade started in the struggling settlement of Puritan-governed Jamestown, Virginia.
