This Charlton series is full of exciting tales of racing, cars, motorcycles and
spectacular crashes. If it had a motor and could exceed the posted speed limit,
then it was in Speed Demons. The Series only lasted six pulse pounding issues,
numbering from 5 to 10. The first four numeric issues were Frank Merriwell at
Yale and with issue #11 the series was changed to Submarines Attack. In
between those two titles were six issues of thrilling car chases, bikers and hot
rods. The series has lots of great art by Dick Giordano, Bill Molno and Vince
Alascia with stories by Joe Gill.
