Most of this is pretty solid rockabilly, not much below the standards of 's best releases. There are also a couple of hot instrumentals, and ballad-type numbers on which employs a husky, echoed oid delivery. A decent release, but assembled in a scattershot fashion. Also, if you're interested enough in to want to track this down, you may well also be interested enough in him to spring for a box set, and most or all of these are also contained on whatever box set you manage to locate. ~ Richie Unterberger
