The author and artist of The Confectionery Curvilinear Branch and Wind Sand have returned to a familiar location. The day was unusual for a winter month that Sunday, the temperatures have reached at least 60 degrees. The irresistible urge to enjoy the warmth is demonstrating by the visitors of Gardiner County Park.
At the hour of dusk, Photographer Curtis Jackson was there with them and their canine friends at this pet-friendly nature reserve. The End of a January Warm Day is Mr. Jackson's amiable follow-up to the photo essay, Late Afternoon of the Hop and Bark Park. Unlike the first book, this shorter paged publication does not feature barking dogs and hopping hares.
It does contain vibrant and memorable images documenting the closing hours of a day of warmth. Soon the chilly weather will return.
