Africa needs to be healed from the curse of poverty consciousness. The self-defeating mentality Africans have bestowed on themselves has led them to utilize their resources poorly. This has led to increased corruption, ignorance, tribalism and poverty. What is required to counter these negative changes are leaders who are visionary, flexible, creative and open minded. The reign of the old generation which was muddled by traditions, corruption, ignorance, racism and tribalism is slowly being faced out. Leaders of the twenty first century should belong to a religion but love people from all other religions, belong to a tribe but respect people from all other tribes and belong to a nation but serve people from all nationalities. The main work of leaders of this new generation is to stop competing and comparing themselves with other people but to conquer themselves from within because the enemy is within, not without. A man who has successfully conquered himself is able to conquer everything else in the world. We only conquer ourselves when we operate within God's calling for our lives. This gives us the realization that we were called to serve/love God and fellow man by thinking of ourselves less, not thinking less of ourselves. This is the foundation of success. This is the main victory in the battlefield of life.
