The main function of music criticism is to evaluate a particular production or artist, in order to help the public select what to listen to in the midst of the large quantity of cultural products produced. However, this role, as well as the profile of critics, has changed with the advance of new technologies. By analysing content and complementary interviews, this book seeks to observe how music critics published by Rolling Stone Brasil magazine view Brazilian music and their role in the changing landscape of cultural journalism.
