In the decade of the nineties, While Pav was working on his castle. Lori convinced him to open an espresso café and art gallery. The late hours and the stress of running a business while trying to complete the restoration on his house made strained the intimate relations. For seven years, he would labor on his castle while doing other things as well. He became a prominent member of the community by serving on the Board of Trustees for the South Haven Arts Council. Pav also became a supporter of the local Police Department and helped when possible. With all these events, he often wondered if he would ever finish the restoration to his castle. His wife Lori also wondered the same and complained constantly.
