Everyone has heard the story of the infamous Hatfield and McCoy's Feud.
Now there are two families going toe to toe in Cahoots, Texas. These two cattle ranchers were neighbors and friends, but since each keep losing their cattle, they have been accusing one another of stealing cattle from them.
Both families live and ranch in a small town called Cahoots, TX, which is a short distance from Amarillo. The term cahoots are often used to describe the activities of people closely associated or working together often up to no good.
These two families closely fit that mold. Sometimes they had been friendly, but more often it is not, the situation. Cattle rancher Russell and his wife Leonna have three grown children still living with them. Trevor, Curtis, and daughter Belinda. They live on a small cattle ranch. Their closest neighbor is the McCord's, Abraham, and Lettie the parents, to their three grown son's living at home with them. Roman, Angel, and Jacob. They also live on a small cattle ranch, just a couple miles distant from the Hopfield's.
Abe McCord and Russell Hopfield, the elder gentlemen, are always at odds with one another. Each one accusing the other of stealing their cattle. The older boys like their fathers have squabbles and often fight with each other as well. The problem exists because the McCord's youngest son is sweet on the Hopfield's daughter Belinda with both being nearly the same age. Contrary to their father's differences these two young adults continue to secretly meet one another behind their parents' backs. Will the families ever reconcile and make amends, Jacob and Belinda keep hoping for it to happen?
