As he begins his second year at The Interstellar Detective Academy, Screed looks forward to concentrating on his studies, participating in the school's annual Sleuth-off competition, and (whenever possible) composing some new music or having a bit of fun.
His first two weeks go just as he had hoped, but then-out of nowhere-a call for help comes from a planet in peril.
Screed and his friends-along with their liaison, Rudd Major-choose to accept this mission (as they know that
sitting back and doing nothing
would mean a catastrophic outcome for the millions of innocent citizens living there.)
But, unfortunately, they quickly realize that there is more than meets the eye to this mystery-and that solving it is going to be next to impossible...
