A brilliant young woman joins the staff of a down-at-heels art museum and rescues a major project. Some of the strange characters she encounters ponder questions of art history, while others scheme and plot intrigues that reveal much of what to avoid in running a museum. Our heroine triumphs and moves on, pregnant, but happy.
