I was born in Hartland, Maine and have lived there all my life (well not yet; as any Mainer would say), except for a year I spent in California with my first husband. Hartland was always a Tannery Town and I had a very happy childhood growing up by "my river". We had a yours, mine and ours family but my brother (Rocky) and I, the only two who were "ours", grew up, for the most part, by ourselves because our other siblings (Joann, Ken, Sandra, Priscilla and Polly) the "yours" and "mine" part of the family had mostly grown up and moved out before we were old enough to remember much of them being around. However, they all stayed close by and were always a part of my life.
Most of my poems are about my family, which I wrote with love. Some are about sadness and some about frustration. I hope you enjoy reading my poems. I am sure you will be able to relate to them in some way
