Rilk, Mary, and Larina's battle against Victor and Angela is over. During Rilk's final attempt to reach out to Victor and Angela, the gods finally descend upon the world of man. Apparently, there is scientific plausibility for the existence of a specific pantheon of Buddhist gods: the Arupa Dhatu gods. There are a total of 11 Arupa Dhatu gods. 4 of them are the gods who descended upon the Earth: Vairochana, Brahma, Indra, and Benzai. The Eternal Shadow and the Fading Star themselves are 2 Arupa Dhatu gods, because their true names are respectively Mara and Tara. To the surprise of their friends and family, Rilk, Mary, Larina, Victor, and Angela are the remaining 5 Arupa Dhatu gods, since they are respectively the reincarnations of Amitabh, Guanyin, Pandara, Ganesh, and Marichi.
In order to explain everything to the 5 reincarnations, Vairochana has to start from the very beginning of the universe itself, the time when all 11 Arupa Dhatu gods were born. In her long story, Vairochana takes great care to distinguish between the scientific historical facts and the mythological historical facts. For example, only magic can explain the existence of the Norse pantheon, the Shinto pantheon, and the Rupa Dhatu pantheon of the larger Buddhist pantheon. On the other hand, there are parallel universes in which those pantheons do not exist, while the parallel Arupa Dhatu pantheon continues to exist in accordance with the laws of physics.
Vairochana commands Englar and the US President to publish the entire conversation between the 11 gods as the Archive of Superhuman Knowledge, a treatise from which mankind can finally learn the secrets of the universe. However, the very act of publication will release Devadatta, a human-born ancient evil who, as the archenemy of the Buddha, wishes to conquer the universe. After the defeat of the Dark Lords Vanko, Marvin, and Suzanne, the Dark Lord Devadatta poses the final threat to the world. Can the 11 Arupa Dhatu gods band together to face off against Devadatta, defeat him, and usher in the prosperous and liberal era of primordial divine rule over the technologically advanced, spacefaring, pro-autistic mankind?
It all ends here finally. Even Rilk's epic journey must come to a close. Dive into this book to see the grand conclusion of The Tale of the Wulks Series!
