Every preemptive police officer has disappeared off of the face of the Earth. Now, the government is going back to their old ways of policing – that is responding to a crime with force, rather than using time travel to go back and prevent it from ever occurring.
The year is 2073, and Jared Dunning is the son of a vanished preemptive police officer. In order to free himself from his depressing life as a high schooler with no mom, Jared lucid dreams, escaping into a much calmer world: one where police officers haven't all disappeared and he still has both parents. However, when Jared lucid dreams in school, he wakes up with the principal standing over him, unable to recall how he got himself in trouble.
Jared's unfortunate high school reality and his lucid dream world begin to reveal secrets about one another. Meanwhile, a mysterious, hooded child interviews two parents about their scientific studies on time travel, and Robbie Swayne takes on his first Broadway performance. These three stories cross paths in unexpected ways, unfolding a narrative about the power that a few children can have on the world... and possibly even the multiverse.
