About the Author:
Meggan Redfield lives in the woods of Stillwater, Minnesota with her husband and three sons. She can often be found reading by a cozy fire, enjoying a sauna, or jumping into a freezing lake. She has a degree in Occupational Therapy and specializes in Holistic and Behavioral Health. Many of her favorite childhood memories are attached to books, so when the opportunity arose to be a volunteer librarian at her sons' school, she reveled in the role of helping the kids find their own just-right book. She is pictured here on the bench at her cabin where the idea for
began after a discussion with her son, Sawyer (a.k.a. Sawyer the Square), about self-esteem during his middle school years. Originally written on a Menards' receipt on the return home that day, she is delighted to share this little tale from her heart to yours.
About the Illustrator:
Bob Lipski is a cartoonist and illustrator who has been drawing stories and comics for almost twenty years. He lives in Saint Paul with his wife, their children, and a lot of pets.
