The public are lapping it up, indulging their morbid curiosity and feeling suitably outraged. They know nothing about the kind of person the victim was, or the terrible crimes he had committed. And it doesn't help Adam's cause that an extremely powerful and sinister man is working to conceal the truth for the sake of preserving his own unblemished reputation.
