When considering the seven essentials for a consecrated life I knew one book would have to be on spiritual warfare. Few truths have affected me more than knowing how to take my stand against the unseen enemy of my soul. The past twenty-five years have seasoned me in the use of scriptural weapons resulting in a number of spiritual strongholds coming down in my life. "Essentials Series" Book One, You Must be Born Again, is a simple presentation of the gospel: what it is, and what it is not. Book Two, Lord Teach Us to Pray, contains powerful insights for establishing a daily prayer life. Book Three, By the Word of God, encourages saints of all ages to grow deeper in love with the Word of God. Book Four, For Me and My House, is about the grace of God in our endeavor to have a Christ centered home. Book Five, The Weapons of Our Warfare, is a good reminder of the seriousness of the battle we are in. Book Six, But He Giveth More Grace, will deal with how to appropriate the divine enabling power of God and live in greater victory. Book Seven, The Spirit Himself Beareth Witness, will deal with hearing and obeying the voice of God. Tom and Joyce have been married for 42 years. They have four grown children and 21 grandchildren.
