The Wonders of the Disciple, Part 2: Judea and Samaria is designed to help followers of Christ establish a Biblical foundation for life and leadership. This workbook is an inductive Bible study of The Acts of the Apostles (Chapters 9-12) and is intended to facilitate "discovery learning" for a foundation in "spirit and truth" (John 4:24) that will stand the test of time and help you establish a Bible-centered lifestyle for honor- ing God and finishing well. There are four workbooks in this series that cover: Part1: Jerusalem(Acts1-8) Part2: JudeaandSamaria(Acts9-12) Part 3: The Ends of the Earth - Paul's Church-Planting Journeys (Acts 13-20) Part4: TheEndsoftheEarth-Paul'sJourneytoJerusalemandRome(Acts21-28) This workbook is formatted using the IDEA approach to discovery learning. Each chapter includes four sections: -Introduction (I) - various translations and paraphrases of the passage to be studied -Discovery (D) - study questions to help you better understand the passage -Explanation (E) - exegetical notes for the passage to help you interpret the passage -Application (A) - questions to help you apply passages to your life and leadership This workbook utilizes the inductive Bible study method involving: -Observation - "What do I see?" -Interpretation - "What does it mean?" -Correlation - "How does this relate to what the rest of the Bible says?" -Application - "What does it mean to me?" The Wonders of the Disciple is not meant for everyone. It is not an easy way to gain insights about The Acts of the Apostles. Actually, it is an invitation to do some time-consuming "digging" into the meaning and application of each passage by developing Bible study skills useful for studying additional passages in the Bible. Take your time and prayerfully and carefully read, study, discuss, apply, and evaluate your progress. Becoming a Bible-centered leader is not an objective as much as it is a lifestyle. Over the years, as you study the Bible faithfully, you will be transformed and God will reveal the "meat" of his word as you remain "teachable."
