Thomas Kempis is best known for his classic "The Imitation of Christ", a widely published and read work. For several years, Kempis was a sub-prior of the Monastery on the Mount St. Agnes, and in this capacity he was in charge of the novices' formation as they discerned their calling to the religious life. Part of this training concerned foundational priorities as well as the difficulties and challenges met in such a journey.
