Welcome to my second volume of poetry, Touching Back. Here are 30 more selected poems, this time encompassing an even longer timespan, 1968-2014. Touching Back begins with Picking Fruit, about how our life decisions affect us. Flesh, Blood, and Soul is a football poem, written when I was 17. And So (A Biblical Poem) recounts what happened when I found a bible at the side of the road while walking. To Every Terrorist and Car Bomb For Christmas speak to the madness of blowing up people you've never met. Real Gun Control and Wild, Wild West talk about America's obsession with weaponry. Young Eyes and Young Eyes Part Two are love poems. To Beat The Devil is one of my anti-suicide poems. Finally, I Know How Buffy Feels is my take on being a "Slayer" of ignorance, as a high school teacher. I feel these are every bit as good as Volume One, with maybe just a bit more edginess. Enjoy the read. Jack Tomkovick, April, 2014
