Two fated souls overcome the will of kingdoms and magick to be together.
Aramis is a male fae practicing forbidden female magick. He's spent his years training as a warrior in the male castle, forced to sneaking off to practice magickal crafts in the night. If the truth of his interests were ever revealed, his wings would be cut off his back, and he'd be turned into a servant for the female castle. With the Tournament of Hearts fast approaching, Aramis will be forced to humiliate himself in front of the entire kingdom in a test of four traditionally male crafts.
A few nights before the tournament, Aramis is caught sneaking out of the castle. The council punishes him by binding his soul with the future queen. Since Aramis is not skilled at traditional male crafts, he will never win the tournament or the hand of the queen, forced to suffer the rest of his life from unrequited love.
Aramis must win the tournament or the ways of the kingdom will never change. Thousands of fae just like him will be forced to hide their true interests. Worse, they may become wingless servants.
But the elder fae council manipulates the tournament games. They will do anything to remain in power and prevent Aramis from altering tradition. When Aramis falls for the future queen as the elder fae intended, he must fight with the magick he knows, or risk a fate worse than living in servitude to the kingdom.
