In pursuit of knowledge and meaning, Romas finds himself employed at a hospital in the sleepy college town of Corvallis, Oregon. Haunted by memories of his homeland of Lithuania and a traumatic childhood, he seeks solace in the forgotten structures of history. But one fateful night, an encounter with an otherworldly woman changes his life forever. Romas develops a keen interest in the history of his new town, when he learns of the dark legacy of a local messianic figure, uncovering a twisted path of power and corruption that lies beneath the veil of salvation. In this revelation, Romas finds himself bound to a fate intertwined with the forces that have haunted him.
Jahan Brian Ihsan has an MA in Comparative Religion from Claremont School of Theology, a BA in English Literature and Writing from Marylhurst University, and has lived in South Carolina, Lithuania, and currently resides in Oregon.
