Incorporated in 1931, the city of Warwick has nevertheless supported and influenced the economy and culture of Rhode Island in many important ways for far longer. Home to prosperous and dynamic mills since the nineteenth century, Warwick provided employment to locals and attracted a diverse community of newcomers.
