Woman of God is the fourth in a series of books that began with License to Kill. It is an authentic account of the author's experiences in South America. In this story, Jess, the main character, is an expatriate of the U.S. who, like King David, has to flee her home country to preserve her life and liberty, as well as her children's. Jess, the heroine of the story, comes to South America without knowing anyone and begins to forge a new existence with the support of God. Jess has to cope with a new language and extreme patriarchy, where she meets once again, unsavory characters who threaten her right to exist. Jess, for her own safety, flees Ecuador, only to be taken to her new country by a hardened criminal posing as a son of Christian missionaries. Ms. Pinney writes not only to document a time of enormous historical social upheaval, but to give hope and bear witness to the infinite power of God.
