is a reference work for those attempting to locate material on the legal status of women. It provides a review of women, in their families and in their organizations for liberation and advancement, as well as the achievement of women in the legal profession. Sources include articles, books, newspapers, and documents; Commonwealth Caribbean legal cases, legislation, theses; international legal instruments and bibliographies. The bibliography covers the period 1952 to 1996, though the bulk of the listings are from 1975 onwards, when issues related to the legal status of women began to garner increased attention during the United Nations Decade for Women.
