- Dating back to the late 1800s, the Whiskey Sour is a classic American cocktail that evolved from the centuries-old tradition of combining citrus with fine spirits. Our signature mixer is based on the original recipe, deriving its sweet-tart character from tamarind and bright, tangy lemon. Combine the mixer with bourbon and ice, shake until chilled and strain into coupe glasses. Top each cocktail with a few dashes of Angostura bitters.
