After months of development with a trusted bakery partner, and taste-testing more than 10 recipes (it’s a tough gig, we know), gluten free customers can now partake in the #pursefork craze, thanks to Trader Joe’s Yellow Mini Sheet Cake! 

Our Yellow Mini Sheet Cake is built on a magical buttermilk cake base, including plenty of vanilla extract and a blend of rice flour, potato starch, cornstarch, and tapioca starch. We’re calling it magical because the resulting Cake truly stands up to the expectations established by its predecessors. It’s moist and flavorful with a tender crumb, as any good cake should be—only this one is gluten free! Upon that base sits a thick layer of rich chocolate buttercream (also made with vanilla), creating that beloved Yellow Cake-chocolate frosting combination, and delivering from-scratch flavor without the wait (or the cleanup!).
