The Cowfish Medical Mondays

Hey, hey healthcare friends! Don’t forget we offer 10% off to y’all every Monday all day long with ID!

The Cowfish introduces sushi for a good cause – and a limited time

Take crispy shrimp tempura and kani (imitation crab meat). Wrap them in seaweed and rice. Top with raw tuna, hamachi (Japanese amberjack), eel sauce and tobiko (flying fish roe), and what do you have?

Besides a delicious and super-size sushi roll, you’ve got a way to help families with children being treated for a serious illness.

“The Roll That Love Built,” available through March 31 at The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar, was developed in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities. A percentage of proceeds ($2 per $18 roll) will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama to help keep families close while their children endure hospital stays and medical treatments.

The first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia in 1974, and there are now more than 360 Houses in 43 countries around the world. More than 10 million families have been hosted at Ronald McDonald Houses worldwide.

Grand Menorah Lighting

The Grand Menorah Lighting is moving to the Levite Jewish Community Center at 3960 Montclair Road, Birmingham, AL 35213 due to the rainy weather we’ve been having! Same time, same celebration, just a different place!

Join us on Sunday, December 22nd from 4:30-6:00 PM for the 5th Annual Grand Menorah Lighting. We will have music, a stilt walker, balloon artists, a graffiti wall, a bubble show, traditional Chanukah foods, and of course the Grand Menorah lighting!

This year Senator Doug Jones will be joining us and will be lighting the Shamash (helper candle) on the Menorah!

The Grand Menorah Lighting is a collaborative project of the LJCC, Chabad of Alabama, and the Birmingham Jewish Foundation.

Schedule:
4:30 PM Chanukah Festivities
5:15 PM Grand Menorah Lighting
