Spring Portraits
We’re hopping for joy that our Spring Portraits are back at The Summit!
These photo opportunities will feature live bunnies and make for a memorable experience just in time for the holidays.
Portraits begin Friday, April 1 – Saturday, April 16th, next to Soma in the Saks Plaza.
Appointments and walk-ins welcome.
Holiday Characters at The Summit
Be on the look out for our very special guests roaming around The Summit’s stores and sidewalks this holiday season. Bring your family to come shop and when you see them, enjoy complimentary photos, fun interactions and special surprises.
Here’s who you can expect to see and when:

Christmas Card Workshop with Mrs. Claus
Mrs. Claus herself will be hosting a fun and interactive workshop here at The Summit to celebrate National Christmas Card Day!
All ages are invited to come create and decorate cards, partake in story time as well as receive complimentary photos with Mrs. Claus.
This is a free workshop for all ages and all cards that are decorated may be addressed to Santa or The Summit will donate to a local nursing home.
Origami Workshop + Veteran’s Day
Join us at The Summit for an Origami Workshop with local artist Natalie Zoghby, to celebrate Veteran’s Day and National Origami Day as a way to commemorate our lost and loved ones during this holiday season.
In this fun and hands on workshop, guests will get to create an origami cardinal which will later be displayed in Santa’s Workshop coming to the Sak’s Plaza.
This event is free to attend and for each cardinal created, The Summit will donate $1 to Priority Veteran on behalf of the United Way of Central Alabama.

Grand Menorah Lighting
Join us in Saks Plaza for the 7th annual Grand Menorah Lighting at The Summit taking place Sunday, November 28th.
Come out and join us for music, latkes, donuts, and Chanukah festivities for the whole family. We’ll have a stilt walker, balloon twister, silent
disco, drum circle and more!
The Grand Menorah Lighting is a collaborative project of the LJCC,
Chabad of Alabama, the Birmingham Jewish Foundation – Karl and Gladys
LJCC Fund, and the Birmingham Jewish Federation.
Santa at The Summit – 2021
Santa is back at The Summit and arriving early this year to spread the holiday joy! Visits and photos with Santa may be booked online below and walk-ins are always welcome. This year, we offer guests the option of traditional photos with Santa or a contactless version for those that wish. Santa’s workshop will be located in Saks Plaza, next to Anthony Vince Nail Spa.
In addition to photos with Santa, we are excited to welcome Glenwood’s Pecans as a Pop Up Shop inside the Santa Workshop space. They will have a variety of options for purchase, including items that make wonderful gift sets, so make sure to check them out when you visit. A portion of sales from Glenwood goes to their 501c-3, Pecan’s for Autism, benefitting those with Autism and sensory needs. For more information, visit www.glenwood.org.
