Newspaper photographer Danny McGuire is struggling to cope with his recent disability. His ex-fiancée, a woman he's never stopped loving, has started seeing a man he despises-the cocky strong-arm for the Cocoanut Grove. So, Danny agrees to help his best friend, a tenacious newspaper reporter, blow the lid of the shady practices going on there. In 1942, the Cocoanut Grove is Boston's swankiest nightclub, featuring renown big band music and exciting showgirl entertainment. Yet beneath its glamorous façade, greed and corruption are the kindling for what would become the deadliest nightclub fire in history.
