The morning was cold and bleak with looming gray clouds hiding the sunrise, typical for Red Falls, Texas this time of year. January and February were the coldest months, though the cold sometimes lingered into March. Red Falls is situated along the Texas and Oklahoma borders. It is by no means a big city, yet it's not a small town either. The population steadily grew over the years, and currently topped out at 125,000. The city bustled with several mom-and-pop businesses in the old town district, a fairly large industrial park, a decent size mall, several shopping centers, and trendy restaurants were popping up all over town; not to mention three Super Walmart's. Hannah lived in Red Falls for as long as she could remember. Her father, Richard Lightwood, was a powerful warlock destined to become the High Priest of the Crystal Rose Coven when he met and married her mother, Molly. Molly was a coven member though she didn't practice the craft to any great extent. It was her father who decided to move them to Red Falls, taking a security advisor position within the Red Falls Pack. Hannah was only four years old at the time, but she could remember the day they arrived. She had been quite sad since they left their home and family in Florida. She missed her aunt Freya most of all. Freya was her father's younger sister and Hannah had a special bond with her. Freya had been the one to start training Hannah in magic at the age of three.
