Nick doesn't really belong on his school's football team. He's only there to do a favor for his best friend, and he's not thrilled when he suddenly has to step in during a game. During the game, he feels increasingly strange, until he suddenly finds himself in the car with his parents - who were killed in a fatal accident many years ago. He not only feels their fear and despair, but also sees that the accident was caused by a strange, watery, transparent man. After the flashback, he is completely confused, and he confides in the daredevil Ava, whose grandmother knows the answer. She leads them into a magical world and an adventure begins ... ---
