After a decade of ministry in progressive Christian circles and a concurrent study of Buddhism, the author came to a crossroad. Having come to an understanding that there is no hell and that God loves all people, he re-examined the story of Jesus. What he discovered was not a salvation teacher. In fact, Jesus spoke of the Kingdom of God in the present tense. It became clear that Jesus was primarily a Jewish Wisdom and Enlightenment teacher and that all of the great religious traditions shared important values such as love, compassion, wisdom, and non-attachment to material goods. It was a realization that changed his life forever, and will change yours, too!
