The poems found in Quest for a Deepening Spirit were written over a period of some 50 years. They reflect Richard Rounds' love of people and nature, especially the landscape of the desert southwest in the United States. The words are an expression of some of the "voices" which have been a part of his life experience. It is his hope that these may speak with those "voices" which are a part of the mind and spirit of each reader as well.
