The year is 749 S.F.R., and Barrenfore is in for a rude awakening... The land of Barrenfore is comprised of many small nations. Most are hidden away, forgotten out of convenience. A few however, hold the journal of history open, ready to make a few entries... Avalot and Easton had waged war against one another for nearly three centuries before a treaty was formed. Turbulent borders were made peaceful, by the wisdom of Avalot's King, and the impatience of Easton's Emperor. But the end of this war is the beginning of the next. Peace is often a thing short lived around there... The Pass of Durr'ak: a place that seldom remains quiet. Constant raids from Typoq keep the garrison in practice. Even with its importance, it remains undersupplied, undermanned and surrounded. Sarpay, a citadel founded for the very purpose of withstanding a siege will finally find its worth. Renz Varn, a city known for its apples and bad temperament will either swallow the pride of its ancestors, or die in all its pompous glory. One man will stand up for the city he both loves and despises, or let it pass into the crypt of history. Another has taken it upon himself to right the wrongs of the previous war. A bard will find his reputation in need of repair, or disownment. And a knight will discover that questioning one's loyalty is the only way to truly find where it lies... The knife will be sharpened, the banners are hung, the arrows are straightened, and the lute is restrung. Horses will be saddled, foes will be slain, borders will be tattered, and diplomacy is in vain. Lords will call up armies, Knights will draw the sword, villages will now be empty; and messengers will bring word. Armor will be dented, songs will be sung, blood will be spilled, and bells will be rung. The quill has been dipped; a chapter of Barrenfore's history will be written...
