LA Digital Publications presents Armenian III: Reading and Vocabulary Practicum for children. This is volume III of the first structured reading program in Armenian spanning across 87 levels of progressive complexity. Armenian III is the master volume of the program comprising 30 levels called "modules." Each module consists of a text accompanied by multi-leveled questions targeting comprehension as well as word-study and vocabulary. In this volume, children will learn to read complex texts discussing fascinating facts about history, social studies, and science. They will impress you not only with their reading skills but also with some thorough knowledge about various phenomena or facts, such as the daily routine of prehistoric people or the building of the Egyptian pyramids. This master-level set of 23 modules is designed for children who have completed volume II. It is also suitable for those who can read some longer texts (1.5-2-page long) with more complex sentence patterns and varied vocabulary and wish to continue mastering their reading, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. HOW DOES THIS PROGRAM WORK? This program is based on a readability formula developed specifically for the Armenian language. Each volume begins with simpler texts and shorter sentences as well as easier high frequency words. The texts become increasingly more complex, with new vocabulary and syntax structures gradually being added. By the end of Part 3 of this volume, children will recognize a larger core of content-specific words as well as a greater variety of syntax patterns. They will continue reading informational texts with sequential patters as well as longer narrative texts. We recommend that your child covers a module a day, 3 times a week, for 30 minutes daily. Depending on your child's confidence in reading, a parent's or tutor's help may be necessary, with an overall goal that your child could progress to the point of completing each module independently. By the end of this 6-week course, your child will grow to become a more confident and independent reader. This is volume III of III in the series of Armenian reading and vocabulary practicums.
