But the Sardinian Snack of the day happens to be Trader Joe’s Baked Pizza Flavored Pillow Crisps. These Snacks are shaped like elongated Pillows, about 1.5-inches long. They’re airy—literally hollow—on the inside, reminiscent of ziti pasta that’s been pinched closed at the ends. But instead of being hard like dried pasta, these Pillows are exquisitely crisp with an incredibly satisfying crunch that results from the marriage of coarsely milled durum wheat and our Sardinian suppliers’ baking method. The outside is of each Crisp is seasoned with salt & natural flavors that lend a red-orange hue, with a subtly herby, tomato-y flavor that recalls... well... PIZZA! It’s an excellent snack if you’re craving something light & savory.
