It isn't Jack Lucern's first garage project, but it's the one that could cost him his life. A former engineer with a knack for tinkering, Jack has finally finished his impossible masterpiece and it's sprung a leak. Not an unintended leak. It's thick and black and worth its weight in gold. Black gold. But when Jack's girlfriend says it too loud in a restaurant later that night it sets off a chain of events that leads Jack on a race to try to save his invention and his life. As Jack comes to grips with the potential consequences of his invention he realizes two things - it may force him to reveal his biggest secret to his daughter and in order to save his life he may have to reveal what he finds beneath the shadows.
