Protective mother Dana (Danica McKellar) takes her teenage son camping in an effort to bring them closer together. But her plans are diverted when she meets Steve (Paul Greene), a single father looking to reconnect with his teenage daughter and her complete opposite. Initially butting heads, it soon becomes clear that there may just be something there.
