An aspiring MLB player (Carl Anthony Payne II) suffers a career-ending injury that forces him to return to his home town, where he lands a job at a shady used car lot run by a stern task-master (Sherman Hemsley), and populated by an incompetent crew of misfits including his scheming best friend (David Faustino) from high school.
