Huck looked at the dead woman's picture, smiling with eyes full of hope. This was drastically different from the way detectives found her, laid out on the floor dead with her fractured neck. "Well, you going to help me or what?" Bear asked. With a failed marriage and house fire finally behind him, all he wanted was some sense of normalcy. Now here was Bear asking him to make room for more ghosts. Gift or curse, he didn't know. In fact, he still didn't completely understand it. He wasn't even sure if he could see all ghosts or just ones he was supposed to - whatever that meant. "What do you think?" Huck replied. Bear smiled. "I knew I could count on you."
