About OurCarbon biochar: A material made from organic waste that has been diverted from landfill and transformed in a totally passive process. The result is a charcoal-like material with the carbon from those waste organics locked in place. In a landfill setting these organics would have emitted as methane and CO2, but diverting them and transforming them to OurCarbon ensures they will not emit for centuries. The life cycle assessment for this material shows that for every one ton of OurCarbon produced, 10 tons of CO2e are prevented from entering our atmosphere. Each package of DEN tells you just how many greenhouse gas emissions have been avoided by growing and making their ingredients.

How to Use: Add one and a half teaspoons for every inch of the pot's diameter (for example, add six teaspoons to a four inch pot). Massage into the top two inches of soil. For outdoor pots, mix together a half cup of plant food for every quart of new soil. When repotting potted plants, mix together two tablespoons per one cup of new soil. Feed your plants every spring.
