Pastoral Care has roots in the history of the church drawing from pastoral theology, metaphor, symbols, and rituals, along with insights from the social sciences. This book explores pastoral care and counseling with special emphasis on the dynamic processes associated with training, supervision, relationships, life stages, faith development and theological reflection.
