From the Endangered Collection. Founded in 1842, Vista Alegre became the first industrial workshop to produce porcelain in Portugal and gained the title of Royal Factory for producing exceptional pottery with premier craftsmanship. Vista Alegre had the honor of creating a dinner set for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and has achieved worldwide recognition for the high quality and functionality of its products. The Endangered collection features the head of an endangered animal crafted of white porcelain to represent the purity of wildlife. The black porcelain base represents the negative impact of society on their ecosystems.
